Pixel Color Picker

The functionality Pixel Color Picker has to offer is clearly presented in its name – this is an application that can be used to pick the color from any pixel displayed on your computer screen. What must be added is that Pixel Color Picker is very easy to use. It is an incredibly user friendly color picking tool that can prove to be quite useful.

Pixel Color Picker will run on a computer powered by any Windows edition from Windows 2000 and XP up to Windows 7 and 8. To get the application up and running on a computer powered by any of these Windows editions, you must go through the following steps: download an archive, extract its contents, run the Pixel Color Picker executable. That’s it! You won’t have to do anything else. You won’t have to complete any installation process.

Pixel Color Picker’s interface provides support for two view modes: Default and Compact.
From the Options menu you can enable and set the opacity level for the interface, enable/disable the crosshair on the preview, and set it so the interface always stays on top.

Launch Pixel Color Picker, move the mouse cursor around, a preview of what is underneath the cursor is displayed on the application’s interface (in default mode). Next to this preview you will see information about the color – the color of the pixel that is underneath the mouse cursor. Press the Escape key to disable the capture and to lock the color.

Pixel Color Picker is free software.

I don’t see what’s not to like about Pixel Color Picker. It is portable, it will run on any Windows PC, it works as advertised, and it’s free!
